Well it’s that time of the year again where I look back and reflect on how I did overall as a competitor and what I’m going to do for the next year. I really had hoped to make B class (or even A class) this year but it didn’t happen. Not for lack of trying, having a child and major back surgery will definitely take it’s toll on a training schedule and overall performance. I did improve however and I’m really happy that I even won my first match this year so it wasn’t a complete flop, I’m just not where I hoped I’d be right now.
So for the next season I am tooling up and training up for success. I’m going to stay put in USPSA Production class but I did just get a new S&W M&P Pro that will be my primary competition gun. I’ll have to figure out what carbine and optic I’m going to use and stick with that as well. I need to consistently dryfire and add some rile to the mix as well. Getting some professional instruction should make a big difference as well as getting as much regularly scheduled practice as my schedule will allow. I think just doing that will propel me into the next class or two this season.
What are you planning to do this year to get you into the winner’s circle?
